ESTABLISHED IN 2012, we make neck ties for the uncommon man. We strive to help men accentuate their personalities. The word jegman derives from the initials of my name, Jason Eli Glover. I added "man" on my initials because, well, that's who we proudly cater to.

WHILE a student at Hampton University, I started my fashion journey in New York City, first as a B.R.A.G. intern with Bloomingdale's and later as a buyer for Macy's and Barneys New York. After a few years of working with well-known fashion brands and managing multi-million dollar assortments, eventually I wanted to start a line of my own. However, before doing so, I did the unthinkable... resigned from Barneys, relocated to Peru and rejoiced in a year of self-reflection and discovery. Once I arrived back in the States, I decided to attend business school at Babson College. It was there where I conceived the idea to launch jegman.

HOW THE IDEA CAME ABOUT... While in business school, I attended almost every networking and social event between New York and Boston. To say the least, I made my rounds. Whether in academic settings, competitions, corporate conferences, fundraisers, social gatherings or the occasional downtown stroll, I noticed one thing. Each guy typically wears the same type of tie. Boring! I vowed to add a touch of personality around my neck. After searching with very little success for unique but subtle novelty ties, I saw a void in menswear for guys who wanted to purchase distinctive handcrafted neck ties for under $100. This is the moment when I realized, not only could I make interesting ties, but why not also remind men to appreciate their individualism by adding uniqueness to their wardrobe.
